Establish Your Word
“Now O Lord God, the word which You have spoken concerning Your servant
and concerning His house, establish it forever and do as You have said.” 2 Sam. 7:25
David had received the word of
Lord. David’s response was to praise and
thank God for this word of promise – a promise that God would make David a
house. It is a curious promise on the
surface, but David understood that his family line would be established and
produce a great Kingdom. The culmination
of the lineage of course, was Jesus.
Have you received a word from the
Lord? Be encouraged to write it down and
begin to pray into it. If it the Lord,
His word will come to pass. Just as
God’s word to David was established in Jesus, His word to you will be
established. Though it may tarry, wait
for it. Pray into it and pray through
it. Pray the great prayer of David, “Now
O Lord God, the word which You have spoken concerning me, establish it forever
and do as You have said.”
He loves you and cares for
you. He wants to speak into your life
and grant His great and precious promises to you.
