Written on Our Hearts

"You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everyone."  2 Cor. 3:2

Imagine yourself as God's letter.  As you go about your day, whether it be at work, at home, or wherever you find yourself, that you are an open letter are reading.  Your thoughts, attitudes, words and actions are all part of the letter.  Paul tells the church at Corinth that they were written on the apostles' hearts.  Likewise, we, the church are God's letter, written on God's own heart.
God chose to create us as an expression of His love to a lost and broken world.  He thought about us, became intentional about us, and formed and fashioned us in our mother's womb.  We are His letter.  We are called to be opened, contents poured out, so that we would be known and read by everyone.
Father, forgive me for being an enveloped, keeping Jesus contained.  Help me to unseal the envelope and allow the sweet smelling fragrance of Christ to come through.  May I be Your letter, written on Your very heart, known and read by those You place in my path.
